Operations Specialist (Temporary, Part-Time – Weekend & Public Holiday Role)

Job Summary

The Operations Specialist will coordinate and administer operational processes, ensuring services and support functions meet quality and timeliness requirements. This part-time role focuses on weekend and public holiday support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, update, and respond to inquiries, ensuring cases are closed within defined service levels

  • Communicate with applicants, ICANN’s contracted parties, and internal subject matter experts

  • Update and validate data in the system of record

  • Ensure service levels and contractual performance indicators are met

  • Track work status, detect exceptions, and escape as necessary

  • Execute simple to moderately complex, pre-defined processes

  • Contribute to team and cross-functional projects with high-quality deliverables

  • Perform research on moderately complex issues

  • Generate reports to inform management of progress

  • Identify opportunities for procedural improvements

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, CRM, business process management software, and/or help desk/ticketing systems; Salesforce and Appian preferred

  • Experience with remote communication tools (Slack, Zoom)

  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills for professional interactions across diverse teams and external parties

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of related professional experience

  • Experience with international organizations preferred
