We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Outbound / Fulfillment Lead to oversee daily outbound operations and ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and on time.

Position Overview

The Outbound / Fulfillment Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily outbound and order fulfillment process within a 3PL warehouse environment. This role ensures customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately while maintaining high quality, compliance, and efficiency standards.

This position works closely with warehouse, inventory, and customer service teams to drive operational performance, maintain inventory accuracy, and continuously improve outbound processes.

Key Responsibilities Order Processing & Shipping

  • Review daily outbound volumes and prioritize based on deadlines and client requirements
  • Oversee picking, packing, and shipping for freight and D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) orders
  • Verify product SKUs, quantities, labeling, and shipping documentation
  • Ensure customer-specific packaging and compliance requirements are met
  • Confirm loading diagrams, compliance sheets, and BOL documentation are accurate and complete

Inventory & Accuracy

  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Utilize WMS to track real-time inventory movement
  • Investigate and resolve picking errors or misplacements

Warehouse Organization

  • Maintain organized staging areas and outbound lanes
  • Support FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
  • Optimize space utilization to improve workflow and efficiency
  • Ensure no picking by convenience and adherence to process standards

Quality Control

  • Verify order accuracy before shipment
  • Train staff on checking procedures and outbound standards
  • Address recurring issues and implement corrective actions

Leadership & Training

  • Train and mentor warehouse team members
  • Supervise outbound staff to ensure policy compliance
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Support productivity and efficiency goals

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Analyze fulfillment metrics such as order accuracy and shipping timelines
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement improvements
  • Prepare performance reports for leadership
  • Provide actionable insights to improve outbound performance

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience (3PL preferred)
  • Prior leadership or lead experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
