<strong>Brief Description<br><br></strong><strong>Overnight Warehouse Sanitation Associate<br><br></strong><strong>Location:</strong> Lanham, MD Distribution Center<br><br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time<br><br><strong>Shift:</strong> Overnight (must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)<br><br><strong>Position Summary<br><br></strong>The <strong>Overnight Warehouse Sanitation Associate</strong> plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and food-compliant environment throughout the Lanham Distribution Center and surrounding property. This position ensures that all sanitation standards are met in accordance with <strong>Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)</strong>, <strong>Food Safety SOPs</strong>, and <strong>Baldor Specialty Foods’ Food Quality programs</strong>. A clean and sanitary facility is essential to consistently delivering high-quality, safe products to our customers.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <br><br><ul><li>Uphold Baldor Specialty Foods’ core values of quality, service, teamwork, respect, innovation, and safety </li><li>Maintain exceptional sanitation standards across all areas of the facility, including:</li><ul><li>Warehouse interior and exterior spaces </li><li>Refrigerated and freezer areas </li><li>Offices, restrooms, locker rooms, and breakrooms </li></ul><li>Perform daily, weekly, and routine sanitation tasks as assigned by the Facilities or Sanitation Supervisor </li><li>Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and unscheduled sanitation needs </li><li>Follow established sanitation schedules while proactively identifying and addressing cleanliness concerns </li><li>Safely operate sanitation and cleaning equipment, including but not limited to:</li><ul><li>Pallet jacks </li><li>Power washers </li><li>Industrial vacuums </li><li>Floor scrubbers </li></ul><li>Adhere strictly to all Food Safety policies, Sanitation SOPs, GMP standards, and Food Quality Plans </li><li>Support compliance with internal audits, customer audits, and third-party inspections </li><li>Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times </li><li>Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and materials in accordance with safety guidelines <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications & Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and GMP practices </li><li>Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team </li><li>Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and stand for extended periods </li><li>Working knowledge of warehouse sanitation procedures and best practices </li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision <br><br></li></ul><strong>Education & Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required </li><li>1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or operations environment preferred </li><li>Prior sanitation, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience strongly preferred </li><li>Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and food handling procedures <br><br></li></ul><strong>Work Environment & Physical Demands<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly </li><li>Physically active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods </li><li>Comfortable working overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as required </li><li>Ability to work in cold refrigerated and freezer environments </li><li>Fast-paced, physically demanding industrial warehouse setting</li></ul>
