Works as a lead member of a crew assigned to small scale and/or routine projects, works independently, or with peers. Prepares surfaces for new coating materials, mixing coating materials according to specifications, applies coating materials to a variety of surfaces where appearance as well as surface protection are important, and is responsible for the care and maintenance of the tools and equipment employed in the painter’s trade.
