What our Part-Time hiring process is like:

While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role. After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.

A quick summary about the Role:

The Osceola Magic are seeking a seasonal contracted Public Address Announcer to serve as the primary backup. This position serves as the in-arena voice of the Osceola Magic G League Basketball team for selected home games. Responsible for pregame, in-game, and postgame announcements, as well as introduce the starting lineups and call game action. The PA Announcer presents a distinctive voice and personality and helps create an electrifying atmosphere at Silver Spurs Arena for the Osceola Magic and their fans.
What the position will be responsible for:
  • Serve as the in-arena voice for Osceola Magic home games.
  • Introduce players, officials, sponsors, and promotional segments with clarity, excitement, and brand-appropriate energy.
  • Announce starting lineups, substitutions, fouls, timeouts, and other official game information in coordination with the NBA G League, Team officials, and Game Operations staff.
  • Work closely with the Game Director to ensure seamless execution of the show script and timing.
  • Provide vocal support for live contests, fan engagement elements, and sponsor activations as needed.
  • Maintain an unbiased tone during gameplay and uphold NBA G League protocols for in-game announcing.
  • Attend rehearsals, meetings and sound checks prior to games when required.
  • Collaborate with staff to get correct pronunciation of home and opponent team, player, and coaches names.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What is required for the role:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 2+ years of prior experience as a PA Announcer required, in professional or collegiate sports.
  • Demo or work samples of your professional experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of basketball and NBA G League rules, terminology, and timing.
  • Exceptional vocal talent with a clear, powerful, and enthusiastic delivery.
  • Comfortable working in front of large crows and under live production pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Professional appearance, punctuality, and conduct.
  • Ability to speak some Spanish preferred.
