Key Responsibilities As a Part Time Outlet Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, your primary focus will be on delivering SMART customer service, which includes: Seeking out customers to understand their needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise Listening to and responding knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary Demonstrating sincere appreciation to customers and providing prompt support to all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance Communicating information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to arenaflex Outlet programs Cross-functionally training in other areas of the Outlet to help deliver the best customer service and generating leads for Project Specialist Exterior (PSE) programs by actively engaging customers in their project needs In-Stock and Store Operations In addition to customer service, you will also be responsible for: Using store systems to prioritize loads, print pricing labels, and to look up items or item numbers for price and inventory information Down stocking merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies Preparing merchandise in department of responsibility based on customer requirements/specifications Maintaining a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates Clean and Safe Stores To ensure a clean and safe shopping environment, you will: Monitor merchandise entering and leaving the store entrances and exits and assist customers or associates who trigger the alarm Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas Operate store equipment as needed, depending on one's specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, iPhone, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, pallet jacks, electric lifts, compactor baler) Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, employees, and management Basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register and other store equipment Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or retail experience preferred Skills and Competencies The following skills and competencies are essential for success in this role: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Basic knowledge of store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
