Personal Assistant (PA) For Young Teen, Wisbech up to 20hrs @£9.91 - WISBECH - PE14 <div><strong>Nature of the job role:</strong><br> To assist with a variety of tasks and provide support to a young teen who lives at home with his parents. He has Down Syndrome and has Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The family would like someone to support his independence, provide social support and companionship.<br> <br> <strong>Main duties:</strong></div><div>To take “A” out into the community after school and or weekends. To help him access leisure activities such as swimming, cinema, meals out, theme parks etc.</div><div><br><strong> Personal duties:</strong><br> · Promote independence with tasks<br> · Help with personal care, such a personal hygiene<br> <br> <strong>Social duties:</strong><br> · Provide social support and assistance to access local community.<br> <br> These duties may vary from day to day.<br> <strong><br> Hours of work:</strong><br> 5-10 hours per week during school time, 10-20 hours per week during school holidays. Flexible but will include some weekends. Temporary contract 12-week contract to be reviewed.<br> <br> <strong>Rate of pay:</strong><br> <em>£9.91 per hour.</em> <br> <br> <strong>Qualifications and experience:</strong><br> Essential:<br> <br> ü Driving licence <br> ü Experience in health and social care, particularly with children or adolescents who have special needs. <br> ü A clear DBS check on the update service OR willing to have a check carried out<br> ü Understanding and willing to help<br> ü Reliable and adaptable</div><div><br> Preferred:<br> <br> · Computer literate<br> · Health and Social care related qualification such as: NVQ level 2 or 3<br> · Friendly<br> · Approachable<br> · Patient</div><div> </div><div><strong>Summary Terms and Conditions</strong></div><div> </div><div>.
