<strong>What To Expect<br></strong>Tesla is seeking highly motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment to take on a wide range of development and manufacturing challenges. This individual will apply technical skills to setup, operate, and adjust manufacturing equipment. The Process Technician is a key member of the Tabless Engineering team in helping the Process Engineers focused on developing innovative processes, equipment, and tooling to build a world of amazing abundance.<br><br><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><li>Set up and operate equipment to support new product and process development trials and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective trial execution</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues that arise during production, engineering, and new product introduction (NPI) builds, using root cause analysis to identify and address underlying problems</li><li>Conduct experiments and analyze data under the guidance of process engineers, including but not limited to Design of Experiments (DOE) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R)</li><li>Perform equipment setup, operation adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards for equipment in varying development stages </li><li>Drive continuous improvement (CI) projects focused on improving yield, quality, and equipment availability to optimize production processes</li><li>Proactively monitor and analyze process yield and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to identify trends, correlations, and areas for improvement, and make targeted process adjustments to optimize yield</li><li>Develop and implement training materials, such as Process Alert Notices (PAN), to educate operators on new processes and procedures, and participate in ongoing efforts to improve safety, quality, throughput, and tool availability<br><br><br></li><strong>What You'll Bring<br><br></strong><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience </li><li>1+ years of experience in a production setting</li><li>Able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings required, electrical drawings a plus</li><li>Experience with roll-to-roll processes and equipment is a plus</li><li>Knowledge in data and statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP is a plus</li><li>Knowledge in SQL, Python or Jupyter Notebook is a plus</li><li>Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal<br><br><br></li><strong>Benefits<br></strong><strong>Compensation and Benefits<br></strong>Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:<br><li> Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction</li><li> Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits</li><li> Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution</li><li> Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA</li><li> Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)</li><li> 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits</li><li> Company paid Basic Life, AD&D</li><li> Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period)</li><li> Employee Assistance Program</li><li> Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays</li><li> Back-up childcare and parenting support resources</li><li> Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance</li><li> Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs</li><li> Tesla Babies program</li><li> Commuter benefits</li><li> Employee discounts and perks program<br><br><br></li>Expected Compensation<br><br>$28.75 - $37.41/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits<br><br>Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
