About the role and client

Our client, a global pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a skilled Proofreader to support regional leads by verifying secondary packaging component artwork against Editor’s Copy documents. You will ensure accuracy across multiple markets and languages while supporting consistency throughout the organisation’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Verify packaging and labelling artwork against Editor’s Copies
  • Ensure compliance with local country and regional format and style guidelines
  • Review updates and check for consistency across products and product lines
  • Annotate artwork using digital proofing tools
  • Approve or reject artwork, providing clear explanations when required
  • Liaise with ALIM Market Coordinators, WSR PCOs, GLM teams and artwork centres
  • Monitor individual workload to ensure PAR timelines are met
  • Provide editorial comments for regulatory documents when requested
  • Escalate issues to appropriate teams to maintain labelling consistency

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical proofreading, or 4+ years without a degree
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with knowledge of medical/scientific terminology
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain focus
  • Ability to work with multiple languages (highly desirable)
  • Experience using electronic proofreading tools
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines under pressure
  • 20/20 corrected colour vision required
  • Occasional overtime may be needed
