Remote Customer Support: Inbound Phone Calls - Property Taxes - Seasonal - 1/202

ModSquad is seeking experienced and passionate Customer Service Representatives to join our fully remote team. We’re looking for individuals who thrive on solving complex customer inquiries related to property taxes and enjoy helping people better understand their assessments and appeal options.

This is a temporary opportunity expected to begin in March and end in June 2026.

As a member of this team, you’ll assist customers via phone and email, answering questions about tax assessments, appeals, and arbitrations. You’ll guide them through the process of lowering their property tax rates with clarity, accuracy, and empathy.

Collaboration is key - you’ll work closely with your team to research information, identify solutions, and ensure every interaction leaves the customer feeling supported and informed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries through phone and email in a professional, timely manner.

  • Actively listen and communicate with empathy to ensure customers feel heard and understood.

  • Provide accurate, detailed, and timely resolutions to customer questions.

  • Escalate issues appropriately when necessary.

  • Stay informed about task updates and policy changes to maintain accuracy.

  • Meet and maintain established performance metrics.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Friendly, helpful, and upbeat communication style.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience with property taxes is a plus.

  • Exceptional grammar and written communication skills.

Hours of Operation (Pacific Time)

Daily: 6 AM – 5 PM

Commitments

  • Self-schedule a minimum of 20 hours per week

  • Minimum 90-day commitment (as needed)

Workspace Requirements

  • Dedicated laptop or desktop computer running Windows 11 or macOS Sequoia/Tahoe

  • Willingness to install ModSquad security systems on computer and mobile phone

  • Stable broadband internet (50 Mbps or higher)

  • 8 GB RAM or greater

  • Dual monitors highly recommended

Please note: A Chromebook is not sufficient for ModSquad projects.
