[Remote] Intern, Integrated Care Initiatives-Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The American Heart Association is a national non-profit organization focused on fighting cardiovascular diseases. The internship provides college students with hands-on experience in health initiatives, project coordination, and strategic alliance activities within the Integrated Care Initiatives team.


Responsibilities

  • Develop project coordination skills by supporting recurring project activities, maintaining shared documents, and assisting with the coordination of multiple health initiative projects
  • Assist with conference planning, including coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and tracking deadlines
  • Support strategic alliance work by tracking action items, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining organized project documentation
  • Assist with preparing internal communications, summaries, and updates related to health initiative activities

Skills

  • College seniors and graduate students pursuing a degree in health promotion, public health, or related fields
  • Must be familiar with software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, including professional interaction with colleagues
  • Required Equipment: Reliable Wi-Fi connection
  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 9am-5pm
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future
  • An interest in non-profit and project management is strongly preferred
