[Remote] MD, Asset Based Lending

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Fifth Third Bank is a prominent financial institution seeking a Managing Director for Asset Based Lending. The role focuses on originating, structuring, and executing Asset Based Lending transactions, managing a team, and ensuring a positive customer experience while adhering to risk management policies.


Responsibilities

  • The MD will be responsible for pitching, structuring, and executing ABL transactions to targeted Fifth Third prospects/clients (credit facilities from $10 to +$250 million). Establish and develop relationships with key prospects and referral sources as well as internal partners including Investment Bankers and Capital Markets teams
  • Actively participates in networking functions and events, business and community organizations to maintain high visibility in the market and maintains strong working relationships with multiple groups to enhance the organization's lending relationship. Prepare and deliver detailed written presentations for various internal constituencies. Provide concise verbal presentations to internal credit committee and answer questions as required
  • Lead a team of junior ABL bankers in carrying out day-to-day origination, and transaction management responsibilities ranging from opportunity evaluation to closing/funding
  • Develop effective calling and business development practices that optimize time/resource management, and ensure sustainable delivery of strategic solutions for qualified prospects/clients
  • Manage and prioritize a pipeline of financing opportunities

Skills

  • 10+ years Asset-Based Lending or related financial services
  • Extensive knowledge of Asset Based Lending products and market trends, private equity, capital markets, merger and acquisition structures, and understanding/experience with credit analysis is required
  • Proven track record of origination and closing complex loan transactions
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrable success originating and executing complex financial transactions
  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally with concentration in Business, Finance/Accounting
  • Formal commercial bank/ABL credit training preferred
  • MBA Preferred
