gap construction are proud to be representing a growing roofing and exterior works contractor in their search for a reliable Remote Admin and Call Handling Assistant to support their day to day operations.

This is a flexible, self employed opportunity suited to an individual who already operates on a freelance basis or runs their own small business. The position is fully remote and focused on ensuring smooth communication, efficient scheduling, and professional client interaction.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing incoming enquiries and supporting operational delivery across Ipswich and Milton Keynes.

Performance Objectives

Answering incoming calls during agreed business hours and responding promptly to enquiries.

Managing email and WhatsApp communications professionally and efficiently.

Booking site inspections into a shared calendar and organising appointments by postcode and area.

Preparing and issuing quotations based on site notes provided.

Arranging scaffolding, skips, and material deliveries as required.

Supporting general administration and customer follow up to maintain service standards.

Person Specification

Currently operating as self employed or on a freelance basis.

Confident and professional in handling inbound customer calls.

Highly organised with strong diary management capability.

Clear and accurate written communication skills.

Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.

Comfortable using shared calendars and cloud based systems.

Local geographical knowledge of Ipswich or Milton Keynes would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Arrangement

Fully remote position.

Flexible structure with an estimated workload of 1 to 4 hours per day.

Responsiveness during agreed business hours is essential.

This is not a PAYE position and is not suited to candidates seeking fixed hours or full time employment.
