[Remote] Remote Indirect Tax Analyst - 80k-120k = Bonus

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LEVELOCITI is a fast-growing, nationally recognized indirect tax advisory firm focused exclusively on sales & use tax, transaction tax, and indirect tax compliance and consulting. They are seeking a Fully Remote Indirect Tax Analyst to support multi-state sales & use tax compliance, audit defense, and advisory engagements, offering the opportunity for deeper technical exposure and meaningful client responsibility.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review multi-state sales & use tax returns
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance calendars
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts related to indirect tax
  • Assist with audit defense and state notices
  • Support voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs) and refund studies
  • Conduct taxability research across jurisdictions
  • Analyze client data and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding filings, exposures, and technical issues

Skills

  • 2–5+ years of experience in sales & use tax / indirect tax
  • Strong understanding of multi-state compliance
  • Experience with tax research and state regulations
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience with compliance software (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, Sovos)
  • CPA or CMI
