[Remote] Workday Payroll Configuration Analyst

This role is responsible for leading projects and acting as a subject matter expert for the functional systems and technology platform, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Represents the department as a primary technical point of contact for functional systems and technology platform
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the functional platform to answer questions/concerns about platform changes and capabilities as well as policies and procedures
  • Provides thorough review of technical solutions for the functional systems and technology platform to ensure configuration/ development meet the business requirement specifications, designs and plans as well as ensure a common understanding and agreement on deliverables
  • Preserves the integrity of functional systems and technology platform by reviewing potential downstream impacts of platform upgrades to ensure data integrity and functionality
  • Manages the relationship with business stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements for the functional systems and technology platform
  • Conducts needs analysis to determine integration requirements
  • Manages training initiatives to introduce new applications or new features in existing applications for the functional systems and technology platform
  • Evaluates new vendor released functionality for the functional systems and technology platform and analysis to determine and recommend new features
  • Works with quality assurance team to determine all necessary testing is accounted and documented
  • Provides feedback regarding best possible user experience for application users
  • May be asked to provide input for development learning team/ departmental budget
  • Ensures platform integrity and cutover readiness during technical deployments by performing technical cutover planning timing for the functional systems and technology platform
  • Responsible for platform stability and aids with appropriate troubleshooting activities to collaboratively resolve problems and ensure high availability
  • Serves as a department representative when implementing cross functional changes to assist with system stability and availability
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for the department and provides technical education/review of systems training
  • Exemplifies the standards of leadership, business standards, policy and the company's future vision in the technology space
  • Provides a consistent, independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

Skills

  • Demonstrates strong expertise in Workday Payroll, including end-to-end processing, configuration, and operational support
  • Leverages AI, automation, and emerging technologies to streamline functional system processes, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency across the technology platform
  • Identifies and implements intelligent automation opportunities (e.g., workflow automation, predictive analytics, and system-driven validations) to optimize integrations, testing, monitoring, and ongoing platform support
  • Familiarity with Workday development and reporting tools, including calculated fields, dashboards, and advanced reporting capabilities
  • Working knowledge of ADP GlobalView and/or Celergo payroll solutions, supporting multinational payroll operations
  • Familiarity with UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) or other time and attendance systems
