About the team

· Pet parents’ experience: Every day, we learn something new that helps our pet parents make better choices for their pets with our impressive knowledge of our products and passion for animals. Our associates understand our customers’ fundamental core needs, ensuring that our pets and their families have the right services and products.

· Merchandising: We strive to impress our customers with the look and feel of our store. With a heavy emphasis on store presentation, our associates play an integral role in helping our pet parents find what they need right when they need it. Also, you will be essential in executing merchandising, stocking, and pricing.

Qualifications for the position: Previous retail and receptionist experience is preferred! You will answer phones and book appointments. We want a driven, self-motivated, outgoing person to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have great compassion for animals, extraordinary pet parent service, excellent organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.

Sales Associate Description

Our store sales associates are a different breed. They care about our pets, customers, co-workers, stores, performance, and sales. They offer a warm welcome. They ask, and they listen. They think about the best solution and offer choices. And they make sure each pet parent leaves having enjoyed an exceptional experience.

As they give that care out, they get it back tenfold. They are supported by the team, encouraged, inspired, respected, and valued. They get to know customers, products, and services to deliver exceptional pet parent experiences.

Sales Associate Responsibilities Associated with Sales

  • Sells services and products
  • Schedules services and collects no-shows, late pick-up fees, and deposits
  • Confirms appointments
  • Quotes prices over the phone
  • Provides recommendations according to pet parents' needs or preferences
  • Operates the cash register and handles cash and credit card payments
  • Handles refunds, exchanges, and returns
  • Introduces promotions and new products to customers
  • Documents sales by updating pet parents' records
  • Stays up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales

Sales Associate Responsibilities Associated with Merchandise

  • Replaces products that are low in stock on the treat table and shelves
  • Checks product expiration dates
  • Monitors inventory levels and restocks shelves as needed
  • Stamps, marks, and tags prices on the merchandise
  • Cleans and organizes the store
  • Maintains the orderliness of the sales floor
