About The Role

Position: Retail Security Officer - Manchester 

Hourly Rate:  £12.60 - £14.12* (* pay rate inclusive of holiday pay)

Schedule: Ad-hoc, part-time and full-time available

We are seeking experienced and professional Security Officers with a natural talent for retail security to join us in Keeping People Safe in Manchester.

JD Sports, Swatch, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Russel & Bromley enlist our highly trained security teams to provide excellent customer service and comprehensive protection of assets in their stores.

A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence is required for this role.

Your main duties will include:

  • Maintain in-store PPE (Radios, Body Cams, Pagers)
  • Maintain a high level of vigilance throughout the shift whilst observing the store in a discreet manner.
  • Actively patrolling and monitoring security cameras to ensure the safety of all customers and staff
  • Engaging with customers and offering assistance if needed
  • Engage and assist with escorting unwelcome customers from the site
  • Looking out for abnormalities around the site
  • Reporting any observation or actions to store management and documenting appropriately
  • Protection of assets/loss prevention
  • Protect stores from theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
  • Provide a welcoming environment to all customers and staff.
  • Respond promptly to any security issues that arise.
  • Implement and enforce store policies and procedures.
  • Handle difficult customers in a calm and professional manner.
  • Report any suspicious behaviour or activity to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and provide detailed reports to management.

  • SIA Security Guarding Licence.


During screening you must be able to provide evidence of 5 year employment/education history in a timely manner upon request.
