Rights & Clearances Coordinator [Remote]

<p> Seasonal Rights & Clearances Coordinator<br /> The Rights & Clearances Coordinator is responsible for researching, sourcing, and securing third‑party materials for use in NFL Films programming. This role works closely with producers, post‑production, media management, business affairs, and project managers to fulfill content needs while ensuring all material is properly licensed according to deadlines, budgets, and legal requirements.<br /> Essential Functions<br /> • Research, request, and acquire third‑party materials including-but not limited to-photos, footage, newspaper articles, social media posts, podcasts, and other intellectual property.<br /> • Navigate and research archival collections, stock footage libraries, and professional photo agencies to locate hard‑to‑find materials.<br /> • Screen down cuts/programs and create detailed clearance logs to document all third‑party material usage.<br /> • Secure licenses, permissions, and releases for all third‑party content used in NFL Films programming.<br /> • Serve as a resource for production teams regarding rights, usage restrictions, and clearance options at all stages of production.<br /> • Track, organize, and maintain accurate records for all research and clearance documentation including agreements, invoices, purchase orders, and correspondence.<br /> • Communicate with internal departments to move acquired materials through workflows and deliver them to producers.<br /> • Maintain strong administrative procedures and uphold departmental standards.<br /> • Learn and use internal rights/clearance tracking systems and screening tools.<br /> <br /> Required Education and Experience<br /> • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.<br /> • Minimum 2 years dedicated Rights & Clearances or Archival Producing experience.<br /> • Foundational understanding of third‑party rights, licensing, and clearances.<br /> <br /> Preferred Education and Experience<br /> • Experience in post‑production or within a similar archival/rights/clearances environment.<br /> • Experience with AirTable or similar systems.<br /> • Experience navigating and interpreting EDLs.<br /> • Proven negotiation experience with major archives, stock footage/photo libraries, and independent rights holders<br /> <br /> Key Attributes / Characteristics<br /> • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br /> • Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.<br /> • Strong problem‑solving ability; resourceful and proactive.<br /> • Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information.<br /> • Flexibility to be on call for occasional weekend work.<br /> • Comfort working in deadline‑driven environments with shifting priorities.<br /> Physical Demands<br /> • Occasional handling of physical archival materials such as footage reels, tapes, newspapers, and photo collections.<br /> Salary / Pay Range<br /> This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.
