<p>The Safety & Health Specialist at Mississippi Power's Chevron Co-Generating Station in Pascagoula, MS, administers safety programs, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and implements initiatives to enhance safety performance. Candidates should have a degree in occupational safety and health, industrial plant experience, and knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations.<br>Safety Specialist – Chevron Cogen<br><br>This position serves as the primary resource in administering the safety programs and related initiatives for an industrial plant workforce at the MPC Chevron Co-Generating Station. It ensures compliance with all internal and external safety policies and programs, OSHA and NFPA regulations, and procedures while implementing new initiatives to improve safety performance. It requires working with management and employees to communicate, implement, and monitor safety and health programs. In addition, this position is also expected to perform the roles and responsibilities of a System Owner, including monitoring and maintaining plant’s fire protection equipment. It requires partnering with Corporate Safety and Training groups, Health and Medical Services, and various other entities sharing best practices and overseeing new safety initiatives. This position serves as a member of the Safety and Wellness Team providing guidance.
