Job Summary
: A Security Film Installer is responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and applying security films to windows and glass surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The primary goal will be to enhance security, privacy, and safety by installing high-quality films according to client specifications and industry standards. This position is considered safety-sensitive because it performs duties in the residential or commercial premises of a customer, and may operate a motor vehicle, equipment, machinery, or power tools.


Job Responsibilities:

Assessment and Preparation:


  • Visit job sites to assess the requirements for security film installation.
  • Assist the Team Lead to measure windows and glass surfaces accurately to determine film dimensions needed to efficiently install security film.
  • Prepare the work area by cleaning and prepping the surfaces for installation and edge sealing.

Film Cutting, Application, and Sealing:


  • Cut security films precisely according to measurements using appropriate tools.
  • Apply security films to windows and glass surfaces, ensuring a proper fit and alignment.
  • Use specialized techniques to remove air bubbles and ensure a smooth, uniform application.
  • Apply edge sealing and finishing touches to enhance film durability and aesthetics.
  • Work collaboratively as a team to communicate effectively, cooperate with and train others, and foster a culture of safety, craftsman work quality, efficiency, and accountability.

Quality Control and Testing:


  • Identify and address any quality concerns or issues with Team Lead.
  • Maintain trailer cleanliness and equipment to ensure properly stocked and in safe working conditions at the end of a job including ensuring trash is removed.
  • Communicate to Team Lead of any inventory or equipment shortages of stock.

Compliance and Safety:


  • Perform job duties according to relevant industry regulations and safety standards, as well as internal company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure at the end of every workday that the worksite is clean, all site entries have been properly locked, and equipment is secured.

Communication and Support:


  • Communicate respectfully, professionally, and effectively with internal and external entities.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain up to date logging of all personally installed layers by the end of shift.
  • Maintain accurate time records and expense documentation according to company policy for timely submission for payroll.

Training and Development:


  • Complete initial safety training and orientation as well as participate in ongoing training.
  • Complete security film installation, cutter, and caulker training within the first year of hire.
  • Participate in monthly training topics and apply as necessary to worksite.
  • Participate in team meetings and other relevant activities and training.
  • Other Duties as Assigned


Physical Requirements:


  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving frequent standing, sitting, walking, driving, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, reaching, climbing, foot control, and repetitive handling/grasping.
  • This position operates in both indoor and outdoor work environments where exposure to variable weather conditions is frequent.
  • This position requires adequate verbal, visual, and hearing abilities.
  • This position frequently operates in construction site environments which may have additional physical conditions including noise, dust, vibration, and other potential hazardous elements.
  • Must be able to do medium work that includes moving and lifting 70 lbs individually and 120 lbs as a team lift, applying 30-45lbs of pressure consistently, and stand and work on feet 8-12 hours a day.


Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional certification or training in window film installation is preferred.
  • Experience as a security film installer or a similar role in window film application preferred.
  • Knowledge of various types of security films and their applications.
  • Proficiency in precision measuring, cutting, applying, and caulking window films.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in film installation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work and professional service.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with integrity and as a positive and productive part of a team.


Job Requirements:


  • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug test and background check with motor vehicle report as well as ongoing background checks.
  • Possess or can obtain and maintain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Successfully pass the 60-day probationary period where all credentials are completed, and orientation metrics are met.
  • Maintenance of a valid driver's license.
  • Maintain a compliant REAL ID.
  • Possess or can obtain an OSHA-10 certification.
  • Ability to travel 100% for up to 3 weeks at a time, consecutively from job to job in shared hotel rooms. Per diem is included and paid retroactively.
  • Possess or can obtain a valid passport is preferred.
