Senior Client Services Associate

<p>If you’re interested in building your career in financial services, our client has a fantastic opportunity to join one of their wealth management teams! As a Client Service Associate on one of their largest teams, you will learn the Registered Investment Advisor industry from the ground up and have multiple career paths to choose from.</p><p><br></p><p>This position is located in NE Portland with working hours from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. They have a hybrid work environment with the ability to work from home on Fridays. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Specific responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and process documentation related to client onboarding and maintenance:</li><li>Open brokerage accounts, establish cashiering needs, set up online reporting access</li><li>Update cost basis, track required minimum distributions, reconcile account information</li><li>Send and receive documents to and from clients, their advisors, and investment custodians</li><li>Log all activities in the firm’s CRM in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Serve as a liaison between clients and custodians/investment managers, including managing client information and handling all cashiering and money movement requests</li><li>Perform client and prospect data entry in the firm’s CRM. Ensure data accuracy and integrity and keep records current on existing and prospective clients.</li><li>May prepare or oversee the preparation of various deliverables which directly support client service and acquisition such as portfolio review packets, greeting letters, presentation books, service agreements and compliance materials.</li><li>Coordinate with clients, custodians, and investment managers to provide annual audit confirmations, audited financials, and any additional information as requested by auditors.</li><li>May perform calendaring functions with both internal teams and external clients, prospects and COIs.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Experience and Skills</p><ul><li>3 + years of client service experience in the wealth management industry and an interest in building a career in wealth management</li><li>Customer service experience and the desire to provide superior client service in a team-oriented environment</li><li>FINRA Series 65 license is strongly preferred - or the willingness to obtain it within 6-12 months at the cost of Coldstream (career development benefit we offer)</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Experience with Charles Schwab is preferred; experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Tamarac portfolio accounting (or similar systems) is a plus</li><li>Experience with alternative investments is highly preferred</li><li>Excellent communication skills, including writing business correspondence with proper grammar and punctuation</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established processes consistently</li><li>Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently</li><li>A Bachelor’s degree is preferred</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Job Benefits</p><p>In terms of pay expectations, we assess each candidate individually based on their experience and qualifications and offer competitive compensation that reflects the value they bring to the team.
