That’s how we’re UNSTOPPABLE for our employees! The Pricing team is part of the Corporate Strategy team and drives pricing strategy across the enterprise. We develop the business logic and economic analysis that goes into pricing decisions for all brands, products, and services, and we leverage our knowledge and expertise to help leaders across the company tackle their most important challenges. Our team members enjoy framing ambiguous and complex problems, thinking laterally to create alternatives, and blending strategic thinking with practical analytics. Job Responsibilities: You’ll be at the center of some of the most important decisions made at T-Mobile, working collaboratively across multiple functions, all working towards delivering extraordinary outcomes. The work we do typically falls into one of three areas: Pricing strategy: You’ll own and maintain the strategy behind T-Mobile’s pricing and promotions, leveraging both strategic frameworks and quantitative analysis to chart future business models. Economic assessments: You’ll gather information and create models that illustrate the economic implications of the various options associated with a particular decision. Value proposition development: You’ll leverage your knowledge and expertise to provide recommendations for product and offer design as part of our support model. Over the course of a project, you’ll synthesize customer data and insights, create economic models, expose the trade-offs that come with each option, and develop and communicate recommendations. You’ll receive training and coaching on: • Problem structuring and framing • Alternative generation • Decision structuring • Data acquisition, economic modeling, and assumption quality • Structuring presentations for senior leaders • Effective collaboration in a large, heavily matrixed organization Education: • Bachelor's Degree Business (Finance, Accounting), Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields (e.g., Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences) or equivalent experience. (Required) • Master's/ PHD/Advanced Degree Business Administration or quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Operations Research). (Preferred) Work Experience: • A solid team player who’s also an independent thinker • Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multitask • A robust analytical skill set • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills • Endless curiosity and a penchant for thinking the impossible • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, finance, or insurance preferred • Fields of study or experience demonstrating fusion of technical depth with business-applicable breadth strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Problem Solving “Consulting-style” problem solving that can break ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesis-driven approach. (Required) • Analytics Perform broad array of analytic capabilities: descriptive analytics on big data sets, predictive analytics, complex modeling, etc.. (Required) • Financial Analysis Comfort with reading and understanding implications of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements. (Required) • Executive Level Presentations Contextually modulate language and message to tailor to audience (presenting up to VP level). (Required) • Communication Build logical narrative structures independently and create compelling visualizations. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
