The Team

Our team is focused on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. Our highly respected Infrastructure and Capital Projects (I&CP) team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients with the expertise of our deep project, Alvarez & Marsal's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions. 

Our I&CP Advisory Team operates throughout the entire development life cycle:

  • Capital Strategy and Deal Advisory (Financial, Technical and Regulatory Vision)
  • Capital Delivery and Project Rescue (Execution Phase)
  • Asset Optimization (Operational and Technical Improvement)

Our initial key focus in terms of service offering will cover:

  • Development Management
  • Strategic PMO & Client Representative
  • Cost Advisory
  • Claims and Disputes

The Role

We are looking to recruit exceptional business leaders  in our two main hubs of KSA (Riyadh), UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai), and to support wider regional growth   at Director and Senior Director levels. Working with some of the brightest and most experienced colleagues in the industry, you will develop and implement innovative solutions in the context of performance improvement, digitization, delivery transformation, and operational turnaround.

You will be working as part of a wider global practice focused  on deploying digital, risk allocation,  delivery support as well as cost-efficiency solutions while simultaneously integrating governance throughout the infrastructure projects lifecycle.

Responsibilities

From the beginning, you will work in a fast-growing and dynamic team to:

  • Lead the growth of capital projects offerings, maximize efficiency and proactively find solutions to increase productivity
  • Help clients resolve issues and deploy global best practices at all stages in the lifecycle of capital projects  
  • Bring, build and develop  client relationships, and understand needs of senior to c-suite-level management in day-to-day interactions
  • Working with our Managing Director) to lead and identify a portfolio of high-impact opportunities across capital projects, ranging from quick wins to major transformational outcomes
  • Support Managing Directors and other senior members of the global  team with client pitch production
  • Actively participate in firm building committees and initiatives such as recruiting, learning and development, culture, marketing, and finance

Requirements

To be considered, you must possess:

  • Ahigh-grade bachelor’s degreee in engineering and or construction discipline (and or MBA) from an accredited top-tier university e
  • 15 to 20 years plus experience working on large scale infrastructure and capital projects.
  • Middle East Experience is mandatory with access to a current client base in region.
  • Professional Accreditation such as MRICS, FRICS, PMI, PMP, MAPM, CIOB et al.
  • Arabic language skills are desirable but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skillss
  • Previous exposure to capital strategy & deal advisory, capital delivery and project rescue and asset optimisation.
  • Prior full-time consulting experience or non-consulting (engineering) professional services work experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and financial background combined with a deep understanding of business and operational drivers
  • Experience in giga & mega projects (and or real estate, hospitality, entertainment, infrastructure, transportation, sports, aviation and  sectors).
  • Understanding of the construction execution life cycle and exposure to feasibility studies, technical due diligence, procurement, PPP, development management, strategic PMO, client representative, cost advisory, claims and disputes.
