This role is critical in supporting new product introductions, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring production readiness across all operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong project leadership, and a proactive commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</p> <br><p>This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions, reducing costs, improving throughput, and enhancing overall production performance. Working cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, quality, and production teams, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will ensure seamless execution of manufacturing strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growth. Strong analytical skills, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to mentor and share technical knowledge with team members are essential for success in this role.</p> <br><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p> <br><ul> <br> <li>Define and develop manufacturing processes, including proper sequencing of operations, to support the production of high-quality mechanical components and assemblies.</li> <br> <li>Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and gages using SolidWorks as the primary CAD system, applying best practices such as DFM, DFA, tolerance stack analysis, and cost-effective design principles. May include development of engineering and production test fixtures. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial.</li> <br> <li>Create and maintain fully dimensioned 2D drawings linked to 3D models for all manufacturing operations. Apply strong GD&T knowledge to ensure design intent, manufacturability, and inspection requirements are clearly defined.</li> <br> <li>Develop, manage, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), including material selection, specifications, and raw material configurations to support manufacturing and procurement requirements.</li> <br> <li>Ensure proper documentation and control of design revisions within the full Technical Data Package, including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, routings, and engineering masters.</li> <br> <li>Lead and participate in cross-functional design and process reviews to ensure products and processes are optimized for manufacturability, quality, and cost. Support the development and execution of project timelines and deliverables.</li> <br> <li>Provide technical leadership and support to cross-functional teams, including Applications Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production, to improve product flow from design release through finished goods.</li> <br> <li>Troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.</li> <br> <li>Evaluate, justify, and support implementation of capital equipment, automation, and new technologies to enhance manufacturing capability and efficiency.</li> <br> <li>Generate purchase requisitions for tooling, fixtures, materials, and equipment required to support manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.</li> <br> <li>Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, sharing knowledge and best practices to strengthen overall engineering capability and organizational success.</li> <br></ul> <br><p><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p> <br><ul> <br> <li>N/A</li> <br></ul> <br><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p> <br><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <br><ul> <br> <li>8-10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in high volume manufacturing environment.  Firearms experience is a plus.</li> <br> <li>Minimum of 5 years of Manual Machining experience, surface grinders, Bridgeport, Heat Treatment, Wire & Sinker EDM.</li> <br> <li>Strong desire to use and develop program solutions to automate CAD/CAM processes.</li> <br> <li>Knowledge of CAD / CAM software. Solidworks & Mastercam preferred.</li> <br> <li>Strong knowledge of GD&T.</li> <br> <li>Must be organized and maintain accurate and neat records and files.</li> <br> <li>Knowledge of common problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.</li> <br> <li>Experience with MRP/ERP systems. Visual 908 2x system preferred.</li> <br></ul> <br><p><strong><u>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</u></strong></p> <br><p>Required:  </p> <br><ul> <br> <li>Engineering Degree.</li> <br> <li>5+ years of mechanical drawing experience related to the design and development of complex mechanical mechanisms.</li> <br></ul> <br><p>Preferred: </p> <br><ul> <br> <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.</li> <br></ul> <br><p><strong><u>LANGUAGE SKILLS</u></strong></p> <br><p>Ability to read, write, listen and follow instructions.
