The Senior Software Developer (Data Engineer) will play a pivotal role on an Agile development team (Scrum or Kanban) within the PHP Information Services (IS) Department. In this senior position, you'll do more than write code, you'll drive collaboration, mentor peers, and shape technical direction. Providence Health Plan supports 100% virtual work for residents located in the following States: Washington Oregon California Responsibilities • Analyze the business requirements for data file requests to design, develop, and deploy fully automated ETL jobs to produce data files • Design, develop, and deploy ETL programs to facilitate the receipt of data from various data sources and the loading of data into destination tables within the overall data architecture framework • Collaborate to design end-to-end solutions for file creation and distribution, as well as supporting ETL production processes and operations • Utilize advanced understanding of healthcare data models to identify data sources and maps data to required file specifications • Design and automate data quality and data validation functions as part of the overall solution • Leverage expertise in ETL and the MS SQL platform to perform performance tuning of technologies to manage data • Experience in analysis, data relationships, data aggregation, and summarization • Perform technical peer reviews and code reviews • Participate in review of potential technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing systems, processes, and data services Requirements • Associate's Degree -OR- Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education/experience • 8 or more years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment Nice-to-haves • Microsoft SharePoint: Experience with 2010 and 2013 • Microsoft SharePoint: Experience with InfoPath and ShareGate tools • 8 or more years of experience working in data engineering • 1 or more years of Healthcare Care experience • Expertise in MS SQL server (T-SQL, SQL server) • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouse systems • Experience in building Data Pipelines using Azure Data Factory • Proficient with ETL tools (SSIS/Fivetran) • Working Knowledge in job scheduling tools like Automic, Tidal • In-depth understanding of database structure principles and Data warehouse principles • Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell • Expertise in database architecture, storage and Query Optimizer • Extensive background in business intelligence tools (e.g., SSIS, SSRS and SSAS) • Architectural understanding of reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, SSRS, Crystal Reports and PowerBI) • Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Azure Devops • Experience with Git, Visual Studio, Visual Code are preferred • Working knowledge in .Net 4.5 or greater would be an added advantage Benefits • Providence offers a comprehensive benefits package including a retirement 401(k) Savings Plan with employer matching, health care benefits (medical, dental, vision), life insurance, disability insurance, time off benefits (paid parental leave, vacations, holidays, health issues), voluntary benefits, well-being resources and much more. • Learn more at providence.jobs/benefits Apply To this Job Company : Providence Salary : Full-time
