This position is looking for a highly motivated senior test and evaluation engineer for the Maritime Business Unit. You will perform evaluation of hardware and software capabilities in lab and in watert test environments. ABOUT THE JOB
The Test and Evaluation team is seeking a Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer. In this role you will conduct system level development testing and evaluate hardware and software readiness, from early test evaluations to customer deployment. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Design and implement test plans that challenge and verify the capabilities of the various Maritime products. To include: * Acceptance Testing - Testing for acceptability by end-users, often in a real-world environment, to validate that it meets their needs and requirements. * System Testing - Testing the complete integrated system to verify that it meets all specified requirements. * Integration Testing - Testing where modules are combined and tested as a group to ensure they work together properly. * Unit Testing - Testing on individual modules or units of code to verify that each one functions correctly in isolation. * Collaborate closely with software engineers and cross functional teams to ensure thorough validation of new software, end-to-end functionality, and bug fixes. * Conduct Software Testing, including validation and regression tests to ensure new features align with system capabilities and mission objectives. * Analyze data from tests to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement, iterating rapidly to refine hardware implementation and software behaviors. * Create processes for testing system functionality and suitability of software and hardware integration efforts. * Drive the advancement of Anduril's testing methodologies, with a focus on Group 2 UAS, to ensure robust and reliable performance in complex operational scenarios. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in robotics or autonomous systems testing. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in software/hardware testing, with a strong emphasis on autonomous or remotely piloted systems. * Demonstrated ability in developing and executing SW test plans for complex systems within aggressive timelines. * Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical challenges and solutions to a diverse audience. * Ability to both create and execute the testing framework to enable automated testing in HITL and SITL environments * Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various testing locations as required. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret-Level security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in the development, flight testing, and deployment of unmanned systems in a defense or aerospace context. * Familiarity with software development practices and experience with programming languages used in autonomy and robotics (e.g., Python, C++, Rust). * Experience with developing procedures and architecture around SW Testing and creating the mechanisms to autonomously execute testing and results * Hands-on experience with hardware integration in HITL and SITL test environments US Salary Range $145,000 - $175,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
