It’s Work That Matters.
- Must reside in California
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a trauma registrar required.
- Typing skills of 65 wpm.
- ICD-10 coding, AIS Injury Severity Scoring and CPT Coding.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- High School graduate or equivalent education mandatory. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Sports Medicine and/or related preferred. Extensive training in statistical methodology, data collection and analysis techniques, medical science, medical record practice, word processing, manuscript and grant typing mandatory.
- Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Accredited Record Technician (ART) preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- California RN license; National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians - Paramedic; or Certified Registered Medical Assistant
- CAISS (Certification Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist) preferred.
- Experience with LA County trauma registry criteria, familiarity with NTDS data Dictionary, familiarity with TQIP (Trauma Quality Improvement Program).
- Familiarity with Trauma One all strongly preferred
