This role helps ensure device compatibility and high-quality playback on major smart TV and set‑top box platforms, working with internal engineers and external device manufacturers. ## Key Responsibilities - Design, build and contribute to AV automation and measurement products, including front‑end and back‑end services for distributed testing platforms - Develop and maintain automated AV tests that objectively measure and validate device AV capabilities for the Netflix TV application (including HDMI workflows) - Integrate and extend custom HW/SW tools (e.g., device capture platforms such as Eye Patch) to enable large‑scale audio/video quality characterization - Leverage in‑house data solutions to operationalize AV metric pipelines and enable insight exploration and monitoring - Implement new applications from ideation through iterative experimentation to product rollout in an agile, cross‑functional environment - Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors/manufacturers to integrate and reuse their software frameworks, components, and services - Drive cross‑team coordination with AV subject‑matter experts to meet common quality and reliability goals - Advocate for automation, system reliability, and scalable test infrastructures to support broad device certification and validation efforts ## Required Qualifications - Minimum 4+ years of professional software development experience shipping production products - Strong programming skills in Python, Java.
