Solution Architect – SEAP Compliance

Come join us and serve as a catalyst creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with customers. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you'll help our customers invest wisely in an infrastructure that will give them maximum flexibility in the future, helping them run faster and more efficiently. This role requires you to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and an ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level.

Role Overview
The Solution Architect, SEAP Compliance, plays a critical role in driving revenue impact by partnering closely with Sales and Business Units to support validation progression, helping to capture recovered revenue, identify compliance flags, educate customers, partners and sales teams on the fundamentals of Red Hat’s entitlements and usage policies.

This role is not centered on compliance enforcement alone—it is a strategic, customer-facing position focused on education, enablement, and value creation. The ideal candidate operates as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring SEAP is engaged early and meaningfully in high-value opportunities.

What you will do:

  • Partner with Sales teams to support deal strategy and execution, with a focus on opportunities above defined revenue thresholds

  • Drive early engagement in the sales cycle to position SEAP as a value-add partner rather than a post-deal audit function

  • Identify and influence cross-sell and up-sell opportunities through customer insights and compliance expertise

  • Translate complex technical and compliance concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers and internal teams

  • Collaborate across Business Units to align on strategy, priorities, and deal support

  • Build credibility and trust with Sales by demonstrating consistent value and contributing to quota attainment

  • Lead customer-facing conversations that balance compliance requirements with business outcomes

  • Continuously refine engagement models and feedback loops to improve SEAP effectiveness and adoption

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in a Solution Architect, Technical Advisor, or similar customer-facing role

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex solutions

  • Experience working in or alongside compliance, licensing, or audit-related functions

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across cross-functional teams

  • Customer-first mindset with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Self-starter with a proactive, ownership-driven approach to work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise software, subscription models, or open-source environments

  • Familiarity with sales cycles and deal strategy in a quota-driven organization

  • Ability to identify revenue opportunities through technical and business insights

  • Strong industry knowledge and ability to connect trends to customer needs

Success Profile

  • Viewed by Sales as a trusted partner who helps accelerate deals—not slow them down

  • Consistently identifies and supports incremental revenue opportunities (cross-sell / up-sell)

  • Engages early and effectively in high-value deals, influencing outcomes

  • Balances compliance integrity with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach

  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and cross-functional influence

  • Why this role matters:
SEAP’s success depends on its ability to create measurable value for Sales. This role is key to shifting perception from audit to impact—ensuring SEAP is a proactive, trusted partner that helps the business grow.
