The Team At Fanatics, the Strategy team plays a critical role in shaping the company’s journey to become the world’s #1 digital sports platform. Serving as a trusted thought partner to the C-suite, the team provides strategic clarity and insight on Fanatics’ most important priorities. Working in close collaboration with leaders and teams across the enterprise, Strategy helps define the company’s north star, prioritize internal and external opportunities, and drive progress toward long-term strategic goals. The team is responsible for generating growth ideas and developing actionable value-creation recommendations. In close partnership with Finance and M&A, Strategy supports the evaluation, execution, and integration of transactions that will transform how fans access and engage with their favorite sports and entertainment brands. This role reports into the VP, Strategy and offers exceptional visibility across the organization and exposure to high-impact strategic, transactional, and operational initiatives. What You’ll Do: • Lead analyses of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments, synthesizing insights and recommendations for senior leadership • Lead strategic initiatives and business development opportunities end to end; working cross functionally across the organization • Own integrated revenue and expense analysis, financial forecasting, and modeling; translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations using ROI and comparative analyses • Build, enhance, and continuously improve valuation models to support executive-level decision-making • Partner with data providers and technology teams to ensure decision-critical data is accurate, automated, and delivered in a timely manner • Manage multiple, competing priorities while providing steady leadership in fast-moving or ambiguous situations • Drive project management across complex strategic initiatives and cross-functional workstreams • Collaborate closely with Finance, M&A, and business leaders to support transaction evaluation, execution, and post-deal integration • Travel occasionally as required What We’re Looking For: • 4–6+ years of investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or related experience and / or industry strategy experience within consumer technology, sports, media, and entertainment. Proven track record of driving impact in fast-paced, high-growth environments • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, including financial modeling, forecasting, valuation (DCFs, precedent transactions, public comparables), and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience delivering executive-ready narratives and recommendations • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners • Collaborative, relationship-driven leader who thrives in ambiguity, manages competing priorities effectively, and balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution • High ownership mindset, strong work ethic, and natural curiosity to proactively identify and pursue opportunities beyond what is explicitly requested • Ability to work in NYC office 4 days per week Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments. The salary range for this position is $165,000 to $190,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
