What role you will play in our team

This Supply Planning Lead role is responsible for managing plastic feed inventory and supporting S&OP activities.

What you will do
  • Manage plastic feed inventory & supporting S&OP process.
  • Blending and scheduling of daily deliveries from whose, railcar, etc. per run plan
  • Provide input into the feedstock supply/purchasing forecast for all regions to balance inventory and blending constraints
  • Steward lab data and rollup of non-hydrocarbon and yield loss data for cert. write on
  • Unit constraint/limit tracking and reporting for monthly stewardship. Data upload to PHD
  • Set and maintain run plan forecast (production volumes) by skid
  • Off spec feed incident troubleshooting
  • Support supply chain growth work (waterborne, railcar feed build, new CCCs logistics, new warehouses)
  • Responsible for helping to achieve inventory targets, including the review of aged, surplus and non-productive inventories
  • Collaborate with the Feed Purchase Team and Manufacturing to develop accurate feed consumption forecasts
  • Work closely with the SC Logistics and Manufacturing Sites to optimize production schedules, and recommend adjustments as needed to meet demand
  • Facilitate monthly Run Plan process: conduct analysis and prepare/present detailed communication package to align the cross functional organization on the S/D balance, commercial signals, and outlooks for feed purchase, production, forecast, and inventory
  • Develop and recommend discretionary inventory build strategies to prepare for turnarounds and planned downtimes
  • Facilitate open and regular communications with the Manufacturing Sites on planned/unplanned downtimes, production constraints, trial request, etc
  • Work with Supply Chain Logistics to evaluate and resolve logistical and warehousing issues
  • Complete ad hoc requests for data, analysis and special projects/initiatives
About You

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience managing a S&OP process
  • Knowledge and experience managing supply and/or demand planning/forecasting
  • Experience managing inventory and influencing sales and production decisions impacting inventory
  • Ability to analyze data, identify root cause, make improvement recommendations, and implement S&OP process improvements
  • Supply chain knowledge of warehousing, trucking, and logistics
  • Maintaining related supply chain master data in ERP systems
  • Degrees & certifications required for the job should be listed here, listing ‘B.S. or equivalent work experience’ in this section is acceptable if an actual degree is not required
  • 5+ years experience
  • BS in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
  • Strong communication, analytical skills, and capability to translate details into big picture story.
  • Demonstrated \"leader\" and \"taking initiative\" mindset with a strong drive for continuous GI improvement and influencing with no direct formal authority
  • Well organized, adaptability to time pressures and rapidly changing priorities
  • Demonstrated capability to learn with a desire to assimilate quickly the analytical SC tools, including data analysis and trouble-shooting skills
  • Proactive, with an ability to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues
  • Ability to manage stress with a high workload appetite (flexible and embraces \"change\")
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:

  • SAP (APO, R/3 and AO) and IBP experience helpful but not required
  • MBA preferred
  • Providing oversight or work direction to 3P service providers
