What We Need:

We are looking for a Technical Artist (Temporary) to join our talented team. In this role you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the Art Pipeline Tools. The primary focus is ensuring artist efficiency across the art departments, such as characters, props, environments, animation, and UI.

WWE 2K is an exciting and challenging game franchise with a diverse set of features and requirements. What You Will Do:

  • Develop, maintain and support tools that streamline workflows for artists and production teams
  • Develop Toolset that will bridge data management across software (Maya, Perforce), design and implement user-interface
  • Communicate cross-discipline and provide innovative solutions to pipeline challenges
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support
  • Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance, scalability and maintainability
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of studio tools, systems and workflows to help define and evolved pipeline standards and best practices
  • Write and maintain documentation, mentor other team members

 

Who Will Be A Great Fit:

  • 4+ years in a similar/comparable position
  • Advanced Python knowledge, excellent understanding of Qt / PySide, and Maya
  • Understanding of game engine limitations
  • Skilled in researching, piloting, and rolling out new techniques
  • Proficient in designing and creating systems, tools and assets for projects
  • Familiar with version control system (Perforce)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Love for video games (not just ours!)

 

Might Be Nice:

  • Experience writing tools for Substance Painter, Photoshop, MotionBuilder, Flow Production Tracking
  • Experience working with the Jira system
  • Understanding of Rigging, Physics Simulation, Shader, Grooming and FACS
  • Experience with C++, PyMel

 

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States. Below are the expected salary and wage ranges for applicants based in locations where the pay transparency law is in effect: Colorado: $ and $ per year. California: $ per year. New York State (inclusive of New York City): $ per year. Washington: $ per year. Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
