 Our Automotive division operates in Smethwick Birmingham, and Nottingham. This includes our Vestatec division that specialises in coated, decorative interior trim components. Key Automotive customers include Aston Martin, Bentley, JLR, McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, JCB and many more.


Key automotive functions:

·      DFM support, manufacturing and supply for performance and decorative metal solutions

·      Specialists in perforating, expanding, pressing and complex laser cutting

·      Specialists in decorative and performance coatings and finishes

·      We pride ourselves on being an engineering lead business providing technical solutions for luxury and performance vehicles

·      Process capability development for new market opportunities

Key role functions:

·      New project technical support through DFM stages with customers, investigating solution efficiencies with design optimisation

·      Estimation and supply chain RFQ management for new projects

·      New project and supply chain readiness post nomination, ensuring internal RFQ rounds are complete and internal stakeholder activities are engaged

·      Project launch management between customer and internal stakeholders

·      Continued general customer management throughout scope of projects


We are looking for someone who:

·      Has 4+ years automotive industry experience

·      Understands automotive tier 1 quality APQP and supply criteria

·      Can learn and confidently detail all key technical processes that A&L offer

·      Can confidently lead technical meetings with customers

·      Is agile with a proactive approach to their work, with critical attention to detail

·      Has a degree or equivalent with a technical ability to interpret drawings and GD&T

·      Has an interest in developing their technology and engineering knowledge base

Offer package:

·      Salary £45-60k PA depending on experience
