Job Summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a senior individual contributor to serve as a strategic execution and alignment partner to the VP of Global Technical Services. This role sits at the center of leadership priorities, operating as a connective layer across Strategy, Finance, Operations, Enablement, and regional teams to ensure the right initiatives are prioritized, properly resourced, and executed in alignment with leadership expectations and organizational capacity.

The role operates through influence, governance, and validation rather than direct ownership. It translates strategic direction into structured execution frameworks, ensures performance and financial visibility across a highly matrixed global organization, and provides leadership with clear, decision ready insights. Success requires strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to navigate complexity while maintaining clarity, accountability, and momentum.

This role offers direct exposure to executive decision-making and the opportunity to shape execution discipline, performance transparency, and operating model evolution across a global services organization.

Key Responsibilities

Execution

  • Translate leadership priorities and strategic roadmaps into coordinated execution plans across Global Technical Services, ensuring clear ownership, sequencing, and measurable outcomes.
  • Facilitate prioritization discussions, arbitrate trade-offs, and ensure initiatives are aligned to organizational capacity and strategic intent.
  • Monitor portfolio health, surface risks, and escalate issues requiring executive attention.
  • Serve as a governance checkpoint to ensure initiatives meet defined readiness standards prior to executive review.

Performance & Financial Alignment

  • Partner with Finance and Business Unit leaders to ensure fiscal plans and operational execution remain aligned.
  • Validate and synthesize performance data across utilization, bookings, revenue, margin, and headcount to ensure leadership has accurate, decision-ready visibility.
  • Ensure consistent governance cadences and reporting rigor across global teams.

Operating Model & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Ensure governance frameworks, interlocks, and execution standards are consistently applied across a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Support evolution of service delivery models, including AI-augmented methodologies, by aligning stakeholders and validating readiness.
  • Provide governance visibility into ecosystem and partner delivery models to ensure scalability, compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Identify friction points, accountability gaps, and structural inefficiencies that impede execution.

Executive Governance & Strategic Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Global Technical Services, providing structured insight and clear recommendations on strategic decisions.
  • Aggregate cross-functional inputs and distill them into concise, executive-ready briefings and communications.
  • Represent leadership priorities within governance forums and steering committees to ensure alignment across technical, operational, and business dimensions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in strategic leadership, enterprise program governance, or executive advisory roles within software or cybersecurity organizations

  • Demonstrated success driving alignment and execution across complex, matrixed, global environments

  • Deep familiarity with SaaS business models and cloud-based technology environments

  • Deep understanding of Professional Services and Customer Success operating mechanics

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and challenge P&L drivers, utilization trends, and margin performance

  • Exceptional executive judgment and the ability to synthesize ambiguity into structured recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority

  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings, governance materials, and board-consumable narratives

  • Comfort navigating organizational complexity and resolving cross-functional friction

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred
