Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides deployment and support services for UPS approved technology products to both internal and external customers.  This position will support UPS Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and perform a range of duties, including hardware and software planning, administration, network management, technical advice and training.

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Work Location: 4156 Mainway, Burlington, ON L7L 0A7, Canada

Workdays: Tuesday through Saturday *(Flexibility required to work weekends) * 

Shift Start: 5:00 PM to 1: AM * (Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs) *

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Deployment & Installation: Organize and coordinate activities for installing, deploying, and upgrading UPS approved software, hardware, and infrastructure
  • Network Management: Conduct network administration tasks, including hardware and software planning
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technology related issues and collaborating with staff to implement deploy standardized practices and restore technical services
  • Project Support: Implementation and facilitate activities to support and manage programs and projects
  • Compliance & Auditing: Engage in regular audits to ensure the IT environment aligns with UPS standards
  • Create business continuity plans
  • Telecommunication Support: Provide assistance with landlines, cell phone, smartphones, data lines, HDVC and MOVI conference calls, Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems
  • Vendors: Work closely with vendors, coordinating visits, and providing support, supervise vendor outsourcing and performance
  • Customer Support: Provide technical advice, training, and support to customers, ensuring smooth operation of UPS approved technology products. Fulfill Service requests and address customer inquiries
  • Customer & Team Interaction: Interface with customers, teams, and associates to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Technical Disaster Recovery: Execute TSG Technical Disaster Recovery Procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of disruption
  • Multisite Operations: Work across multiple locations, including UPS facilities, vendor sites, and customer locations, to carry out deployment and support tasks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A+ Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate  
  • CCENT Cisco Network Certification
  • Data acquisition for analysis and surveys
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Should be able and willing to travel

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Pay rate of $22.46/hr. with annual performance increases

  • Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit- Every Friday
