Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Trader for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Price and trade equity derivatives products based on understanding of price actions and fundamentals of derivatives securities in reaction to market movements to generate revenues and manage risk for the respective business. Execute appropriate hedges to mitigate FX, cross currency, and interest rate exposures. Analyse the outputs of a variety of reporting suites, with large volumes of data, to make decisions about the required trade types, structures, tenors and sizes. Execute projects/analysis on important metrics to understand the theory, propose logic changes, inform trading decisions, and ensure accurate pricing. Work with technology and quant partners to develop systematic improvements that are additive to Citi’s economic profitability. Liaise with treasury to coordinate usage of the firm’s resources and changes to liquidity and stay updated on changing requirements. Liaise with sales to develop the franchise, anticipating client and internal demand in each respective product/market. Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure. Coordinate with Sales, Research, CM, and other organizations across Markets and Securities Services and the broader business. Establish and maintain key relationships to deliver trades to the desk. Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation assisting with a trading book and mitigating risk. Three (3) years of experience must include: Managing trading risk relevant to Equities Markets including executing equity cash and derivatives transactions; Working with Funding Markets including interaction with the market for Equity TRS, FX (including Cross Currency), and Repo Products; Utilizing advance analytical and numerical skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Visual Basics for Applications to analyse large datasets; Utilizing liquidity metrics and modeling to identify business drivers, propose trading solutions, and identify opportunities for changes; and Working with Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing techniques. 40 hrs./wk.
