  • Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursuing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree

CA:UniversalMusic Enterprises (UMe)

The Analytics department atUMeis the data hub of catalog operations. Covering four primary verticals (Releases, Marketing, D2C & Commerce) Analytics provides a cross-functional team thatimpactsthe entire catalog group.

  • Predictive Dashboard for the Billboard Hot 100

  • Generate Global Market Share estimates not currently available from industry sources

  • Scrape Wiki Sources to improve artist birthdate datasets

Ideal candidates will have:

  • SQL

  • Python

  • Experience with music datasets (through prior roles or school projects)

CA:Interscope Capitol

The analytics department works with all departments within Interscope Capitol to keep them informed of market trends, albums and single consumption from our artists, forecasting, as well as development of systems, tools and AI used by all departments in the organization.

  • Develop dynamic / automated models to help key stakeholders with business decisions

  • Create SQL scriptstoextract necessary data from files that could be greater than 100 TB in size within GoogleBigQueryor other SQL platforms, and build visualizations in Tableau, Alteryx, and various other visualization tools to present findings in a visually compelling way

  • Identifyuser/partner/ track/album/market trends

  • Present overall findings to executives throughout the company in a clear and concise manner

  • Research & build customized reports based on financial and marketing data

  • Build, develop andmaintainvarious partner, consumer behavior, and consumption trend projects with ongoing summaries and recommendations

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Passion and curiosity for music and the data that is used within the industry, preferably within-depth knowledge of current music industry trends including keyaccounts, consumption pattern shifts, and the impact/variety of social media.

Commerce(Onsite:NY)

HowYou'llCREATE:

The Commerce Intern will support the label's commercial strategy across digital streaming platforms (DSPs), retail, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) initiatives. This role willassistin tracking releases, compiling performance reports, researching market trends, and supporting promotional campaigns that drive audience growth and engagement. The intern will collaborate with the commerce team and gain hands-on experience with DSP partnerships, retail activations, and campaign planning.

  • Support weekly release campaigns byassistingwith DSP pitching, playlist updates, and performance tracking across Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, and other platforms.

  • Maintain and update key tools and trackers, including affiliate links, playlist assets, AMP and DSP asset folders, and physical product checklists.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to cross-departmental coordination on marketing and commerce initiatives.

  • Assistwith data collection, reporting, and weekly chart recaps to highlight key performance trends.

The commerce department handles E-commerce, retail, and overall consumption. The commerce department is a strategic revenue engine that supports both traditional and modern revenue streams- bridging physical retail, digital sales, and artist merchandise. This departmentplaysa pivotal role in driving growth, efficiency, and visibility for our artists andlabels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide dailyreleasepreorder tracking reports ona timelybasis.

  • Place, track & communicate Artist Accommodation Orders w/Artist Management & Official Artist Stores.

  • Perform regular QA checks on active web stores to ensure proper shop functionality, marketing copy, and merchandising.

  • Proactively manage music and merchandise inventory levels across all stores and alertappropriate teammembers when product needs to be replenished.

  • Compile and provide various sales and inventory reports to relevant stakeholders as needed.
