The Vice President of Marketing, Community and State, will lead the team responsible for delivering marketing and communications to our consumer, state, and community organization audiences, in support of our 7M+ Medicaid population. The VP is accountable for effective and efficient outreach that support C&S bids, thought leadership, brand health, organic growth, member retention, clinical outcomes, member digital adoption and positive member experience. This role should demonstrate a solid understanding of the C&S business as well as Medicaid, with expectations to partner collaboratively across C&S and M&R enterprise teams to deliver on strategies. The role requires a leader who can guide the team to deliver quality performance through day-to-day accountabilities while accelerating the pace of new marketing innovations, setting the stage for transformation. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced marketers to deliver impactful content and campaigns that support C&S business goals
  • Oversee omni-channel marketing and ensure the voice/needs of the audience is reflected in the work
  • Strategize C&S external paid media campaigns to optimize organic growth as well as reputation and thought leadership
  • Ensure deployment of compliant and compelling member onboarding communications, ongoing proactive member marketing, B2B website content / campaigns / newsletters, and collateral / onsite presence for major industry conferences
  • Anchor to end-to-end consumer experience management, developing orchestrated campaign journeys to optimize moments that matter
  • Lead the marketing staff through coaching, developing and training opportunities
  • Model and ensure use of marketing best practices across the team
  • Serve as a sponsor of Marketing Evolution work, transitioning the team to the Adobe suite of campaign tools
  • Model and encourage use of Marketing Way tools and capabilities
  • Champion a digital-first approach, leveraging behavioral science to create effective calls to action, and incorporating a multi-cultural lens to all work
  • Develop and manage KPIs and reporting of results to stakeholders; use KPIs to prioritize initiatives and determine new opportunities
  • Establish measurement and reporting initiatives to inform future campaigns and communications
  • Establish relationships with key partners
  • Collaborate with Health Plan leadership to demonstrate support of and progress against their goals
  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with Clinical, Quality, Growth, Legal, Creative, Digital, Advocacy, and more teams to align on co-developed consumer outreach strategies as well as B2B content and campaigns
  • Ensure optimized vendor relationships for creative, media, website and translation capabilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working in a complex matrixed environment preferably within strategic marketing, member experience, and/or growth leadership
  • 7+ years people management experience
  • Proven success in the development of strategic marketing plans tied to business goals and execution of innovative integrated marketing campaigns
  • Solid ability to prioritize a broad project portfolio and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • End-to-end digital experience ownership and consumer journey management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and create strategies cross-functionally (preferably with marketing technology campaign management and digital teams), while presenting to senior leadership stakeholders
  • Refined coaching and team development skills with the ability to lead a multi-faceted team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Graduate degree, e.g., MBA, MPH, MHA/MHSA
  • Prior experience marketing to members, consumers, businesses, and/or providers via multiple channels
  • Proficient in Workfront or similar project management tool
