Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and demonstrate the ability to handle various tasks related to materials management. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse, from receiving to shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently for loading and unloading goods.
  • Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and organisation of products within the warehouse.
  • Perform picking and packing duties for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning, applying mechanical knowledge as needed.
  • Engage in heavy lifting if required, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving materials handling.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is essential; certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Experience in construction or related fields may be beneficial for understanding materials handling requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick, pack, and stock items.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
