Job Description
Under designated supervision, performs a variety of duties primarily physical in nature in the receipt, storage, and issue of merchandise and supplies in a main or branch activity stockroom.

Job Qualifications
Education: High school or equivalent. Experience: Six months of progressively responsible general experience involving records maintenance, receiving, screening, reviewing, and verifying documents; preparing and/or verifying the validity of documents with which the organization is concerned. High school or equivalent may be substituted for required experience.


If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.

Major Duties
Unloads merchandise from delivery vehicles. Examines cases and packages for indication of damage or pilferage and points out discrepancies to supervisor. Checks type and quantity of merchandise received against receiving reports, transfer vouchers, truck load lists, direct-delivery tickets, open-order invoices, visual rapid reorder (VRR) requisitions, or other documentation according to specific instructions.
Unpacks, segregates, and stores merchandise in bins, on floor, or on shelves according to specific identifying information or supervisors instructions. May price-mark merchandise. Assembles and loads merchandise orders for delivery.
Maintains cleanliness and order in stockroom area.
Performs stock counts and assists in the conduct of interim and official inventories.
May receive and sign for VRR merchandise. Discrepancies noted in shipments are reported to the M-5 Warehouse Worker or Foreman.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
Performs other duties as assigned.
